Career Day 2026 - Event Summary

On April 23rd the School of Translational Medicine Mannheim (STMM) hosted its first Career Day at CUBEX One. Master’s students, PhD candidates, and postdocs joined industry and other experts for a day dedicated to professional growth and networking.

The STMM Career Day 2026 successfully bridged the gap between academic research and the life sciences industry. Participants explored diverse career paths and gained the practical tools needed to successfully apply and work in the life science industry.

Highlights of the event:

• Industry Perspectives: We were honored to host speakers from various, mostly local companies and institutions. The experts shared invaluable insights into their personal career transitions and what modern employers are looking for.
• Networking in Action: Under the motto "Build your network before you need it," participants engaged in interactive networking sessions and connected with industry representatives during the coffee breaks.
• Career Development: From "Hiring Room" insights to professional CV checks, the event provided hands-on support for upcoming applications.

The energy and engagement of our young scientists were truly inspiring. A huge thank you to all speakers, partners, and attendees for making this day a highlight of the STMM calendar!
