The EU-funded ERASMUS programme has multiple opportunities for supporting students. There are three options which can be taken in connection with the MSc TMR Programme:
- You can participate in the whole MSc TMR Programme and gain the TMR degree via the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s (EMJM) “International Master in Innovative Medicine”.
- Benefits include a full scholarship if you are selected in a highly competitive procedure among hundreds of candidates.

- You can do an ERASMUS placement internship abroad while being in the TMR Programme or just after graduating from it.
- Benefits can include a stipend to support your living costs for ~3 months.

- You can join some or all courses of the TMR Programme as an ERASMUS Incoming student from the MSc Medical Biotechnology Programme at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy).
- Benefits can include a stipend to support your living costs.
- Credits from TMR courses are acknowledged for the degree requirements of the sending institution according to an individual learning agreement.
- Eligible students must meet all following requirements:
- You must be enrolled in the MSc Medical Biotechnology Programme at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy).
- Your qualifications must be at same level as locally selected TMR students (This has to be verified by the MSc TMR Programme before you are nominated by the MSc Medical Biotechnology Programme; please see below for details).
- You must be nominated by the MSc Medical Biotechnology Programme, and get accepted by the MSc TMR Programme.
The following documents need to be sent to the TMR Programme by MSc Medical Biotechnology students ahead of the nomination (recommended time for submission is December/January or earlier):
- Application documents as provided and specified under www.umm.uni-heidelberg.de/medical-faculty-mannheim/master-programmes/translational-medical-research-master/application), namely:
- TMR Application Form
- Previous Bachelor or equivalent degree certificate
- Previous and current transcripts of records, including the grading system
- Proof of English proficiency according to the TMR criteria
- CV
- A motivation letter
- A statement about your previous laboratory experience in guided practical courses and individual projects
- We do not require recommendation letters.
- In contrast to the regular MSc TMR applicants, you do not need a prior degree of at least 240 ECTS. A degree with 180 ECTS is sufficient.
