An important task of the Department of General Medicine is the education of young physicians and scientists. In the medical model course MaReCuM, the subjects general medicine, occupational medicine, social medicine as well as health economics are represented.

In addition to interdisciplinary teaching and the early integration of clinical content, the focus is on teaching development in outpatient medicine, prevention and health promotion.

Moreover, the scientists supervise research work of the certificate of achievement "Scientific Work", doctoral students in the preparation of their scientific theses (to the Dr. med. and Dr. sc. hum.) and also bachelor and master theses from related disciplines.
