Janik M. Dietz, M.Sc.

Janik Dietz is a research associate in the field of Health Economic Evaluation. He first earned a Bachelor of Arts in Product Design from the Berlin University of the Arts, where he subsequently served as a teaching assistant in the Department of Technology and Design. At the same time, he completed his Master of Science degree at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences in Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. In his thesis, he explored new approaches to AI inference on edge hardware. His research interests often lie at the intersections of disciplines—between design and AI, data science and clinical application. In his current research, he is examining the economic considerations that must be weighed when introducing artificial intelligence in the medical sector, particularly in the context of the diagnosis and prevention of heart disease.
