Janik M. Dietz, M.Sc.

Janik is a research associate and PhD candidate in the field of health economic evaluation.

He first obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Product Design from the Berlin University of the Arts (2022), followed by a Master of Science in Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence from Stralsund University of Applied Sciences (2025). His master's thesis explored novel approaches to inference on edge hardware.

Janik has held teaching positions in design and technology as well as visual communication at the Berlin University of the Arts (since 2023) and at the Weißensee Academy of Art, Berlin (since 2025). During his masters, he worked as a research assistant at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences (2024-2025).

His research interests lie where disciplines meet: between design and artificial intelligence, grounded in current clinical practice. Using micro-simulation modeling and real-world clinical trials, his work examines how AI-assisted diagnostic tools may enhance cardiovascular prevention and care.
