Vincent Brugger is working towards a doctorate (Dr. sc. Hum.) in which he is interested in the transfer of new statistical methods to improve external validity in the scientific practice of public health research. Further, he is interested in quasi-experimental methods and applications of causal inference methods.
Since September 2021, he has been working as a research associate in the methodology working group of the collaborative project "Kompetenznetzwerk Präventivmedizin Baden-Württemberg " in Mannheim. Previously, he was involved in cost-benefit analyses for the health economic evaluation of preventive measures in the KNPM. The tool to be developed was based on the Washington State Institute of Public Policy (WSIPP) framework and was intended to support desicion-makers.
Vincent holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Mannheim with a period abroad at the Toulouse School of Economics. From 2019 to 2021 he studied for a Master of Science in Economics, also at the University of Mannheim. During his studies, his main interest was in public economics and its methods. For his master's thesis he investigated the effects of the online publication of tax data on the consumption of luxury goods.
